Job Description
Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain cars, SUVs, light trucks, and commercial vehicles. Perform oil changes, brake repairs, engine diagnostics, suspension work, transmission servicing, tire replacement, battery testing, and vehicle inspections. Use computerized diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical and electrical faults.
Qualification
High school diploma or equivalent. Automotive mechanic diploma or vocational training preferred. Apprenticeship or relevant work experience is an advantage. Trade certification (such as Red Seal or provincial certification) is required or preferred in many provinces.
Skills Required
Engine repair, brake service, suspension repair, electrical diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, use of diagnostic scanners, problem-solving, teamwork, and customer service.
