They read blueprints, prepare metal surfaces, inspect weld quality, and follow workplace safety standards.
Qualification
Welding Certificate, Trade Diploma, or AWS Certification preferred
Job Duties
- Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Cut, fit, and assemble metal components.
- Inspect weld quality and repair defects.
- Operate welding machines and fabrication tools.
- Follow OSHA safety regulations and wear protective equipment.
- Maintain welding equipment and work area cleanliness.
- Work with fabrication and construction teams to complete projects on time.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Welding certification or vocational training preferred.
- Knowledge of MIG, TIG, SMAW, or FCAW welding processes.
- Ability to read technical drawings and measurements.
- Good physical fitness and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work overtime and rotating shifts if required.
