They read blueprints, prepare metal surfaces, inspect weld quality, and follow workplace safety standards.

Qualification

Welding Certificate, Trade Diploma, or AWS Certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Cut, fit, and assemble metal components.
  • Inspect weld quality and repair defects.
  • Operate welding machines and fabrication tools.
  • Follow OSHA safety regulations and wear protective equipment.
  • Maintain welding equipment and work area cleanliness.
  • Work with fabrication and construction teams to complete projects on time.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Welding certification or vocational training preferred.
  • Knowledge of MIG, TIG, SMAW, or FCAW welding processes.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and measurements.
  • Good physical fitness and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work overtime and rotating shifts if required.
